| Depends on what you are looking for in a cam ( speed , price , IR ) | |

| I have a basic Moultrie D-40 that works good for the $. It is 85 bucks at the Jamboree. It has time date and location stamp and the trigger speed works good over bait. Not by any means the best cam out there but for the $ well worth it. | |

| Steve with all the kits guys are selling now it is no big deal to build one. You just glue parts in place. I would mod the camera for you if you wanted. Hard to beat a $90 store cam though if you just want to know whats out there. | |

| Don, after seeing your videos on how to make one, I'm going to give it a whirl. I've looked into it a couple years ago and just never tried it. Your videos made it look easy! Thanks for doing that and putting them up. They by far blow away a 100 dollar camera with the photos they take! | |

| I do not want to hi jack this thread so if you have any questions just start a new topic. I will say if you just need ont to let you know what is out there it is hard to beat a 100 IR cam. With that said if you get a good deal on a camera on e-bay and cut a couple corners ( non camo case ) you will be close to that price. | |

| No worries about hijacking any threads. I think it would be cool to have trail camera pics from a camera I made! I'm gonna try and order up some stuff! | |

| Just send them back. The chance the holes will line up is not good and really not worth it. | |

| i got a cuddy back capture, had it out behind my house since early june, takes great pictures, and long battery life, i also got the bear safe that u screw to the tree and lock the camara in, i coverd with camo duck tape, it's hide pretty good, the one thing i noticed is the flash doe's spook the deer some times, i have some pictures deer running away from it, other than that it's works really well, and also it is very easy to figure out how to use it, am not the sharpest tool in the shed whene it comes to all this digatel stuff, but i had no problem. | |
