10-16 report

Well the day started off with a good time and ended with a good time.

Started out hunting some ducks this morning with not much sucess. saw some birds but nowhere near the numbers we usually see. still had a blast and still laugh now thinking of chris going into wawa with a bright orange sticker on his back.. lmao

tonight i went out with dubs for some deer. walked into my spot carrying a 50 lb bag of corn. dumped it all over the place. started climbing my ladder and looked back. doe 35 yrds browsing in the thick shit. continued to climb thinking that is one dumb deer. had another doe come in and hang out with me for about 45 minutes. then i see more deer. and more deer. they start working there way from the field into the woods right at me. about 15 of them. i happen to look over about 80 yards away and see another standing on the rd. i went to get my bino's to see what it was and it was gone. im looking for it then i see all the deer bolt. well that deer up top was walking right to me. when it was running away jumping the crrel i saw a nice rack. about 18 inch spread. was wondering why the heck all these deer took off and then a truck comes down the road way. i was pretty pissed. the only thing that helped me from not being to pissed was dubs story. ill let him tell it. all i can say is i laughed out loud really hard in my stand and didnt think i would see deer the rest of the night.

great day in the woods with good friends. now dat der is what its all about.

Duck hunted with the boys this morning. Very windy. Saw a few got off a few shots but i suck so I came home with nothing. :lol

Hunted Deer this afternoon with Steve in Ringoes. I saw 14 does and a 5pt that thought he owned the place. It's definitely starting to heat up. Dont think the big boys are ready just yet, but this little wipper snapper was chasing everything on four legs.

Speaking of mating. I saw one of the weirdest most disgusting thing Ive seen in 22 years of deer hunting tonight. Two guys sitting on the rail road tracks caressing and cuddlingeach other. I almost threw up. I still can't believe it. At first I thought they were just hikers who lost their way, but I was wrong. DEAD WRONG!!!

Also steve and I hit up some farms up in the ringoes raritan area for goose property. First guy say he would definitely let us BUT he just recently sold his property and is now just the farmer. The new owners would not let us. Cool guy. I asked him if he knew if any of his neighbors would be open to let us hunt. He directed us across the street. This guy was also cool but already had guys hunting the property, most lilely for deer. Im gonna look up some farms so we can try again next saturday.
