| I'm with you on that pretty much. I don't think there is much sport there. I do though, enjoy doing them here and there with a small amount of guys to try and get the deer up and moving. John is one of the best when it comes to pushing deer, right John? | |

| LOL just go back and do a search on drives on NJH and you will see what I think of them.
I have no problem with 3 or 4 guys on private land. But , to have 20 or so guys drive on public land is not hunting and rude. You give me 20 guys send me some woods that I have never seen and we are going to come out with deer. No sport in it if you ask me. Not to mention it will mess up another hunter that did his home work scouted the woods learned the deer and is "hunting" them.
I never herd a guy from a deer club say "Man that guy in the stand really mess up our hunt" At the same time I always hear" That deer drive waisted the woods and I have not seen a deer since"
However it is legal so it will be done. | |

| am not a big fan of deer drives, but one day i was, i think it was december 1989, i was hunting off stump tavern road in jackson, whene the ozark gun club was setting up a drive, i could see them lineing up on the fire cut, whene all of a sudden a 7 pointer runs up to my stand and stops, BANG, got em, so i sat with the buck untill the drive was over, and whene i was draging it out, 3 ozarks even help me drag it to my truck, they all seemed like really good guys, but like i said, not big fan. | |

| The ozarks club is right behind my uncles house. I park at his house and check out the bucks hanging up every year. They all seem like a cool bunch to me! | |

| I used to participate in alot of deer drives. However when it became cleasr that I was driving deer to people that could not hit the broad side of a barn I participated much less. It got way to dangerous with 25 guys running around in the woods. So the last few I did were maybe 10 guys, but still nobody coud hit anything. I am done with drives. Last year I participated because it was an off season and wanted another deer or 2 for the freezer, but I did'nt see any. No more for me. | |
