Opening Day and no post?

Alot of people went out, no stories.

Here's my opening day story...Morning didn't see a damn thing but squirells! In the afternoon, all setup over a nice trail...looked great...then as it starts to become primetime around 6/6:15 ...a quad with 2 idiots talking as loud as they would 80 yards away. Great opener huh?

Not much to tell. In at 5am on a great crossing with a few groceries on the ground. Had deer on camera every day since June in this same spot. Made a ground blind in july and the deer have been walking right by it. Wind was right. Sat in till 11am and only 3 squirrels. Back in at 2 pm same spot and zippo, but one squirrel and 972 Cardinals, and a wood pecker. NO deer around at all yesterday. However that is the way my opening days normally go. I will give it a try again Tuesday morniung.

Hunted about 150 200 yards from bowtech hunter same story! Quads really messed up pm. Going out today and mon/tues

Morning hunt I got busted by a doe about 100 yards away. Wind was wrong direction for the am hunt. Saw about 200 squirells. Pm hunt was a disaster. One thing after another. Loud backyard BBQ with music that blasted through the woods and some guy shooting off 9 rounds with a handgun over and over from one of the backyards where I was. To top it off the wind switched direction from the am and was totally wrong In pm. Oh well. There is always next time. All said and done I had an awesome times hanging out with everyone and it was a great feeling to be in the woods again with bow in hand.

all im going to say is " Don't stop believen " lmao great times though. i think i laughed the whole pm hunt at johnny.

Scott and I had a great day. He got his day out of the way about 8am. Then It was my turn. We headed back out at 3pm. First deer showed up at 430. Just a fawn that got a pass. Then a yearling 20mins later. She was 15yds and very spooky. I drew... fired... and he ducked the arrow. I never had a deer duck an arrow at 15yds. She ran to 30yd. I knocked another arrow and fired. Dropped her in her tracks. I spined her. Not where I was aiming but it did the job. So I thought. 10 mins later she got up and crashed in to every tree on in the woods. Then laid down. Motionless. She done. Nope. She got up a gain. laid down. Got up. Laid down got up. We wait for 2 hours then looked. Small patch of blood at the shot then nothing. I can't believe I lost this deer after the way she dropped. It looked like I hit her with a slug at 10yds.
