| Well, tonight I headed out not expecting to see much in the spot I was at. Well, I ended up watching 3 does feeding in the middle of the field and then heard some leaves crunching. Look up and there is a doe headed right for me. Checked it out a little and no buck following. Had her feed in front of me for a good 10 minutes. Then I decided....I'll let one fly. I shot her and she went 10 feet and dropped! No tracking job there. Then I drop it off to the butcher and head to dinner with the family! Leaving my sisters I end up screwing up my truck and hit a buck. Hit him maybe doing 40 and had no time to react. He slid down the road probably a good 30 to 40 feet. The damn thing got up and ran away. At least it could have stayed so i could put it in the back of my truck! This happened right around the corner from the farm we hunt and actually looked like a buck I have on trail cam. Anyone wants to walk the bottom of the farm, I'm sure you'll find him there | |
